67 GB Blu-ray discs from Sony and Panasonic

blu-ray-disc.jpg Sony and Panasonic will soon give us more than we had expected from them. With a technology that managed to increase the capacity of Blue-ray disks, both manufacturers have managed to give us something to look forward to. With the i-MLSE (Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation) technology the disks will be able to store 33.4 GB per layer. That’s bound to give a dual layer disk enough space to store about 67 GB of data. The best part is that you wouldn’t need new software for the same. The compression seems to be software dependant. Ultimate data storage, here we come.
