I really ought to confess...

... that at this point, I'm doing this to troll the purists as much as any other reason.

What's Russian for "My Mosin goes up to 10"?

I'll review it after I take it out to the range. Oh, the horror that is my life...

  2. "Broken"? What's broken about having more ammo?

  3. Just before I go off half-cocked, I'd like to ask if "slowest of slow claps" is meant to convey sarcasm or sincere approval.

  4. Usually approval.

Generally shows approval for an underdog in a come from behind victory or after losing with pride intact.

  5. It looks like it's not locked in at that awkward angle. I hope it functions better than it looks.

  6. Nope, it's locked in. Instead of making the extension narrow at the top to try to fit into the magazine, the designer made it flush and stabilizes with the hinge in front, an extended latch in back, and those flanges on either side to prevent wobble. I wouldn't call it rock solid (mostly because dropping a rifle on a mag extension, no matter how well made, can't be good), but I'm confident it will feed without jamming.

Here, enjoy a video of the magazine in action: http://youtu.be/VVE2L-D4AUY

  8. Ah, okay. Thank you! And thanks for clearing that up. :)

I had to ask because I get a LOT of static for "polishing a turd" over this, and the bit about it being the slowest of slow claps really confused me.

Yes, Izzy is a Frankenstein monster, but I work with what I can afford. Also, being able to bat my eyes and get things for review helps! Parts, sure. Guns? Not so much...

  9. How is spending ~$600 to improve a $100 rifle "saving" money over just buying a $600 rifle to begin with?

  10. Who says I've spent that much? I'm a reviewer. Part of the review process is getting T&E product for reduced or no cost.
