There's confusion among the Spanish press as to how far along the David de Gea deal is. Marca claimed that personal terms had been agreed with Real Madrid, but AS insist that is not the case.

However, AS suggest that the Manchester United keeper is ready to move to the Bernabeu regardless of if Iker Casillas stays or not.

Meanwhile, Marca say United have put a £40m price tag on De Gea - but Carlo Ancelotti's men are keen to lower the price by offering full-back Fabio Coentrao to the Reds.

Jose Mourinho has admitted he does not want to let Petr Cech leave Chelsea - but that the final decision does not rest with him.

He told talkSPORT: "If it's in my hands he would never go, would never go to big clubs with fantastic teams. Big candidates to win the Premier League. I would never let him go.

"But it's not in my hands. My perfect scenario is that he stays with us, I think he belongs to this club, this club belongs to his history and to his life, too.

"He is a fantastic keeper, fantastic dressing room and squad man. I tried to prove the respect I have for him. I played him in the cups, gave him matches in the Premier League.

"I can imagine that a 32 or 33 year old keeper feels young and feels the passion to play every game."

United continue to be linked with Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi from reports in Spain. The centre-back would cost £36m, and is said to be open to a move.
