Hello Avocados of Earth, Mars, the Belt and beyond!  The Expanse is back tonight!

I will have my thoughts and review of the Season 3 premiere of the Expanse up as soon as I can, but will have this page up for your commenting enjoyment!

Just for this first episode, I may as well give you my Expanse bona fides:  I came to watching the show when it was recommended to me by a Battlestar Galactica fan and friend of mine.  I hadn’t read any of the book series, and only got the wide brush strokes of what the show was about.  I quickly loved it, though not unreservedly:  There were some issues with pacing at times, particularly involving the series MVP Shohreh Aghdashloo’s Chrisjen Avasarala, who sometimes seemed to be on her own show.  The second season was even better than the first, with the introduction of Martian Bobbie Draper (Frankie Adams) and deepening of the other main cast’s characters.

Since season 2 ended, I’ve read the series (They’re a really quick read).  So I recommend them to fans of the show.  And now in AV Club parlance, I’ve graduated from Newbie to Expert, but my intent is to keep my reviews of episodes relatively spoiler-free, to the best of my ability.  I’ll have a “Spoiler Space” section or comment for anything spoilery.  I’d appreciate it if fellow commenters would also make use of spoiler tags where appropriate.  I don’t know how many Expanse-newbies we’re likely to have in here, but we want them to feel welcome, sasa ke?
