Super Smash Bros Ultimate Piranha Plant, Four-Player Spirit Board Added In Update 2.0.0

Recommended Videos

Time to take a bite out of the cast of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with a leafy friend. The Piranha Plant has joined the battle. Now that Update 2.0.0 has arrived, people who purchased and registered the game before January 31, 2019 can get the new cast member. In addition, the update has added five Spirits previously available through special promotions or events and the ability to challenge Spirit Board fights locally with up to four people.

The Piranha Plant is available immediately after updating, provided you purchased the game, registered it, and already redeemed your code. Nintendo has not yet said when it will be available for purchase separately.

For the Spirit additions, it is relatively easy to see these new options. The Partner Eevee and Partner Pikachu Spirits were previously automatically doled out to people with Pokemon: Let’ Go, Eevee! or Pikachu! save data. The Dice Block, Golden Block, and River Survival Spirits were originally introduced and available during the Mario Series Spirit Board event. As for multiplayer Spirit Board matches, you can now play matches there with up to four people cooperatively. However, everyone fails if one human player dies.

Here are the full Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Update 2.0.0 patch notes. You can also see them at Nintendo’s support page.
