From the spied pre-production units, we have seen that the new Thar gets LED headlights, a wider grille, new alloys, among others.

But the biggest changes are expected inside, with a completely revamped dashboard and interior that will shed the old-school look and embrace modern design and functionality.

Features offered on the car will include a touchscreen infotainment system, remote locking, reverse parking sensors, hardtop option (or variant) and the likes and for safety, dual airbags for front passengers and ABS.

2020 Mahindra Thar unveil will see the SUV come with two engine options – 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel – the latest gen Thar will get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed auto from Aisin.
