Marque One Motor Club Racetrack Length
The newest track will also be the longest in the nation

The total length of the racetrack coming up at Marque One Motor Club in Andhra Pradesh will be increased to 5.5 km, from the current proposed plan of 3.3 km, making it the longest race course in the country.

Owners of the facility now aim to receive FIA Grade 2 certification with the new track layout in order to host more international racing events.

Situated within a 110-minute drive from Bengaluru International Airport, the track was first designed to measure a total length of 3.3 km and secure an FIA Grade 3 licence.

However, Director of Marque One Motor Club, Anush Chakravarthi, has now revealed that the track length will be increased for he is aiming for an FIA Grade 2 certification and Grade B licence from FIM.

Changes to the layout will result in the main straight extending to 1.1 km in length (BIC has a 1.06 km main straight), and more corners.

For instance, the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) that can host F1 races is currently the longest track in India, measuring 5.125 km long. The only other FIA Grade 2 track in the country is the Madras Motor Race Track.

Being developed by Driven International, the venue will also host an off-road track, vehicle storage unit, among others, and plans are to open up a motorsport academy and even a theme park.

Construction was expected to get over by next year with the original plan. With the Marque One Motor Club racetrack length increased by over 2 km now, about five more months will be needed to finish the project and receive licences from the FIA and FIM.

Other racetracks that are coming up in India include the Pista Motor Raceway located near Hyderabad, and the Nanoli Speedway near Pune.
