Hero MotoCorp Plans
Celebratory editions of these models will go on sale next month

Hero MotoCorp has revealed that it plans to launch 10 new models every year till 2025 in order to fortify its top position in the market.

New products, variants, upgrades and refreshes will form part of the offensive, said the firm, that, today, touched 100 million production units and retained the title of world’s largest 2-wheeler maker for the 20th year in a row.

India’s first 2-wheeler maker to roll out 10 crore vehicles had reached the 5 crore production milestone only in 2013. While it could reach the 1 crore unit figure only by 2004, having begun production way back in 1984.

The firm’s 100 millionth unit was an Xtreme 160R and to mark the achievement, the brand will launch celebration editions of 6 models.

They are the Splendor Plus, Passion Pro, Glamour, Maestro Edge 110, Destini 125 and Xtreme 160R and these models will sport a Red and White colour scheme and go on sale from next month.

Apart from being the country’s top 2-wheeler manufacturer, Hero is also working with Harley-Davidson to retail the American brand’s motorcycles and to develop and produce future Harley bikes as part of the agreement.

At the same time, the brand is expected to continue to try and capture more of the premium commuter bike segment that is growing by the day.

In addition, Hero MotoCorp plans to enter the electric mobility space as well. We expect the new models will include electric 2-wheelers too, for the brand’s rivals such as TVS and Bajaj Auto have already put electric scooters on sale.
