Honda CB350RS Launched, Priced At Rs. 1.96 Lakhs

Honda has launched the CB350RS in India today with an asking price of Rs. 1.96 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).

Based on the H’ness CB350, the CB350RS comes with changes to set it apart as a sporty variant. Honda says the “RS” stands for “Road Sailing” concept.

New on the Honda CB350RS are the ring around the round LED headlight, front fork boots, LED blinkers, saddle, pillion grab rails and the under seat LED tail light.

Also, the motorcycle comes with an underbelly bash plate, foot pegs that are set a bit backwards, blacked out exhaust and a restyled rear mudguard (both front and rear ones come in black).

Built on a half-duplex cradle frame with a box-section swingarm, the CB350RS features the same wheelbase and seat height and fuel tank as the H’ness CB350. However, it weighs less (179 kg) and has marginally reduced ground clearance.

It also features the same analogue and digital instrument cluster as the CB350. Due to the new seat and repositioned foot pegs, Honda says the rider’s seating position will be a bit forward-leaning.

Offered in Radiant Red Metallic and Black with Pearl Sports Yellow colour options, the bike, Honda claims, has a different ride characteristic.

Powering the bike is the same 348cc air-cooled single cylinder engine that puts out a maximum of 21 HP at 5500 RPM and 30 Nm of torque at 3000 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and has an assist and slipper clutch.

It rides on 100/90-R19 (front) and 150/70-R17 (rear) tyres, while the braking duty is done by a 310 mm disc at the front and 240 mm disc at the back. For safety, there is dual channel ABS and switchable Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).

Although the Honda CB350RS price has been announced, the motorcycle will be available only from early March. Bookings have commenced from today across all of the BigWing dealerships and on the official website.
