Mobile data is the lifeblood of smartphones, keeping us connected when we’re away from home Wi-Fi or if we don’t have home Wi-Fi to begin with. After all, what’s the point of having a smartphone if you can’t stay connected while out and about?

Mobile data usage has steadily increased over the years, but we want to know just how much data Android Authority readers are using each month. So choose an option in the poll below and let us know where you live via the comments section.

Ericsson recently reported that the average usage per smartphone now exceeds 10GB a month. So it’s clear that people are consuming a ton of mobile data on their phones. We also know that many people use their mobile phone as their exclusive means of getting connected, whether it’s due to financial reasons or because fixed-line internet connectivity simply isn’t available to them.

Then again, I work from home and seldom leave the house these days. So my mobile data usage is less than 1GB a month on average. It doesn’t help that the big two carriers here charge ~$6 for 1GB of monthly prepaid data. So I totally understand if you don’t use much mobile data either.

In any event, you can let us know how much mobile data you’re using per month via the poll above.
