QUESTION: I was reading your essay titled “The antichrist is coming” and there you say that what is acting as a restraint to the man of lawlessness is the Governing body but in your essay titled “And it stood still on the sand on the sea” you write that who has been acting as a restraint to the man of lawlessness is no other than Jesus, the head of the congregation. I’m confused is it Jesus or the GB?
It is both. In the Antichrist essay, the reason I stated that the GB was acting as a restraint was to emphasize the oft-glossed over fact that the GB is no longer the legal custodian of the Watchtower Corporation. The directors hold the purse strings and are the legal owners.
Still, nothing can succeed or fail without Christ allowing it. What does the scripture say? — “Unless Jehovah builds the house, it is in vain that its builders work hard on it. Unless Jehovah guards the city, it is in vain that the guard stays awake.” — Psalms 127:1
In ancient times there were men who were appointed to positions of authority by God who later became unfaithful. King Saul comes to mind. Also Solomon. Many others could be cited. God allowed them to go their own way and then He acted to set things back on the course He intended.
When Jesus was on earth he picked Judas as one of the 12 apostles. Apparently, Judas was faithful in the beginning. Later, though, he became a thief—stealing from the organization’s treasury. He could not, however, harm Jesus until God removed the restraint. Then at the Passover meal Jesus handed Judas the morsel and Satan entered into him. Later that same evening Judas led the Romans and the Jewish mob to the garden where he knew Jesus would be. That is when Jesus revealed that Jehovah had removed the restraint, saying to them: “Did you come out with swords and clubs as against a robber? While I was with you in the temple day after day, you did not lay your hands on me. But this is your hour and the authority of darkness.” — Luke 22:52-53
Judas was a type of the man of lawlessness, they both having the unique moniker of “the son of destruction.”
In the 11th chapter of the prophecy of Zechariah, Jehovah said: “For I am letting a shepherd rise up in the land. He will not take care of the sheep that are perishing; he will not seek out the young or heal the injured or feed those able to stand. Instead, he devours the flesh of the fat one and tears off the hooves of the sheep. Woe to my worthless shepherd, who is abandoning the flock!”
Notice, Jehovah said he was letting this shepherd arise. And in the context is where it was foretold about the 30 pieces of silver, the price Judas received for betraying the Son of God—except the prophecy has to do with the Second Coming of Christ.
We are now experiencing the fulfillment. The Governing Body, as an institution, has become the worthless shepherd. The United Nations has issued its mandate for universal mRNA injections. Although there are effective medicinal alternatives, they are not allowed. And even though thousands are dying from the injections and even those that have taken the shots are falling ill with Covid, and there are even more disconcerting questions concerning the purpose of the graphene contents of the elixirs, nevertheless, the Governing Body has dutifully complied—even threatening any dissenters with judicial action. Truly, the worthless shepherd has abandoned the flock.
Even if some individual members of the GB were not totally on board with the vaccination program, they could not stop it. Apparently, Christ has handed someone the morsel.
QUESTION: I’ve noticed a couple of others asked this question and some have given answers. Christ returns to the choose ones, how will everyone else know that it has happened? There is a scripture at ez that speaks about dreams and visions, does that apply to this time?
Jesus said there will arise nation against nation, there will be food shortages and pandemics, as well as great earthquakes. He also foretold that “there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation. People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” — Luke 21:25-27
The events Jesus outlined will be impossible to ignore. And against that backdrop Jesus said that “You will be brought before kings and governors for the sake of my name. It will result in your giving a witness.”
Seeing the Son of man coming on a cloud is an allusion to the seventh chapter of Daniel, where the vision depicts someone like a son of man coming on the clouds and gaining access to the Ancient of Days. Obviously the coronation of Christ in heaven is not something that humans can literally see. Matthew offers some clarification in specifying that the nations will see the sign of the Son of man when it appears in heaven, at which point they will feel a sickening dread, beating themselves in grief knowing their fate is sealed. Seeing a sign is not the same thing as literally seeing the Son. In other words, the world will know they are dealing with Christ, not some alien invasion from Mars or something.
In the 8th chapter of Romans, Paul wrote the following: “For I consider that the sufferings of the present time do not amount to anything in comparison with the glory that is going to be revealed in us. For the creation is waiting with eager expectation for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but through the one who subjected it, on the basis of hope that the creation itself will also be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God.”
Obviously, the “creation” that is eagerly expecting the Kingdom is not all of mankind. Those who are doomed to beat themselves in grief are not hoping for the Kingdom to come. On the other hand, although Jehovah’s Witnesses are in eager expectation of the Kingdom the Watchtower has no understanding of what will be involved with the revealing of the sons of God.
Just as Jesus revealed himself to select believers after his resurrection, after Christ manifests himself to the chosen ones then comes the revealing of the sons of God to “creation.”
Too bad for the petty con men and deceivers who claim that all Christians are anointed and go to heaven. They disqualify themselves from being either the sons of God or the “creation” who hope to also have the glorious freedom of the children of God here on earth.
QUESTION: I have a very important question which I really hope you can help me with. If a person raised in the Truth, has yet to be baptized, go on the ministry or change their life in accordance with what Jehovah requires, but knows unequivocally that Jehovah is King, but for whatever reasons has been waiting for things in their life to change – where does this leave them? To the world they are a “good” moral person but at this time they have not had the courage to practice the Truth that they know to be true.
Jesus said to certain persons in his day: “Why, then, do you call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but do not do the things I say?” Jesus went on to relate an illustration: “Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man who in building a house dug and went down deep and laid a foundation on the rock. Consequently, when a flood came, the river dashed against that house but was not strong enough to shake it, for it was well-built. On the other hand, whoever hears and does nothing is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river dashed against it, and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.” — Luke 6:46-49
