Tablets enjoyed a renaissance in the last two years or so, as the pandemic drove more people to work from home and students shifted to online learning. In fact, Counterpoint Research reported that tablet shipments were up over 50% in Q1 2021 compared to Q1 2020.

Needless to say, that means that loads of tablets have been sold in recent times. But we want to know whether you plan to buy a tablet in 2022. You can give us your answer via the poll below.

Android tablets have been in a bit of a rut until the last year or two, with Samsung being one of the few big players still constantly offering slates. But the pandemic has resulted in the likes of Xiaomi, realme, and Nokia all offering tablets to feed demand. Google’s job listings and Android 12L also suggest that Android tablets won’t be ignored in 2022.

Meanwhile, iPads continue to account for a major share of the tablet market, with Counterpoint noting that Apple actually expanded its market share from Q1 2020 to Q1 2021.

So are you considering an iPad or an Android tablet in 2022? Or maybe you simply aren’t looking for a slate in 2022. You can let us know via the poll above and leave a comment if you have more to share.
