Web Host Aruba Receives Accreditation for '.Cloud' Domains in China
Web host Aruba S.p.A. (Aruba) has received accreditation for '.Cloud' domains in China. Aruba, which has headquarters in Ponte San Pietro, Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy, was established in 1994. The company helps businesses and consumers “build and manage their digital life providing all the required tools and support”. With 2 million customers, and managing 130,000 dedicated and virtual servers, it is “one of the largest IT groups in Europe”, and the leading hosting provider in Italy and Czech Republic. It is also a registrar for the '.Cloud' domain extension.

'.Cloud' domains were first made available in 2016 and there have been 155,000 registrations in around 180 countries since then. Aruba received accreditation for '.Cloud' domains in China from the country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Accreditation in China underscores the company’s expansion plans and means '.Cloud' domains can now be registered in China, and websites using these domain names can also be hosted in the country.

“Our success is based on our partnerships and we are eager to collaborate with Chinese registrars and technology providers,” explained Head of Registry Services at '.Cloud', Mou Mukherjee. “These partners play a significant role in guiding Chinese businesses into the future of the digital economy by helping them build, boost, and protect their online identity.”
