It’s December now. Unlike same time in previousyears when most smartphone manufacturers start to make year-end reviews, thisyear in December there are still some new smartphone releases to be expected fromXiaomi, Vivo and OPPO. All the new smartphones will be dual mode 5G smartphones,which can be a year-end bonus for smartphone fans.

While anticipating the new smartphones, Antutureveals our benchmark results for the global Top 10 best performing Android phonesfor November 2019. This time we also included two separate lists for flagshipphones and mid-range phones respectively.   

What are the best Android phones on themarket right now? Check out our most updated November ranking as measuredby the average Antutu score.

Please note that the data are collected between November 1, 2019 to November 30, 2019. The list consists of Android devices that have at least 1,000 units running Antutu benchmark V8, and the scores are averaged across all devices, making the results more representative.

1. Flagship phones

In November, the Asus ROG Phone 2 with 12GBof RAM and 512GB of storage continue to occupy the first place with an averageAntutu score of 496,662 points. A few things inside of the phonecontribute to this result: the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, the speedy UFS 3.0storage, the 12GB of RAM and its unique three-layer cooling system that allowsthe phone to run with high performance for a long time without overheating.

The One Plus 7T Pro 8GB RAM+256GB storage variantranked second with an average Antutu score of 482,881 points, followed closelyby the One Plus 7T Pro 12GB RAM +256GB storage variant that achieved an averagescore of 482,532 points.

Coming fourth is the realme X2 Pro 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant, achieving an average Antutu score of 476,185 points.The phone is the most powerful smartphone of the realme brand so far in termsof hardware performance.

Making up the rest of this month's Top 10 flagshipphone list are, in order, OnePlus 7 8GB RAM +256GB storage variantavg. score: 455,587, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition 12GB RAM +512GBstorage variant (avg. score: 452,783), Asus ZenFone 6 2019 6GB RAM +128GB storage variant (avg. score: 452,776),Samsung Note10+ (SDM855) 12GB RAM +256GB storage variantavg. score: 449,659), and Samsung Note10+ 5G (9825) 12GB RAM+256GB storagevariantavg. score: 443,858).

In general, there are no big changes in theranking of the top 10 flagship phones for November compared with last month. However,the entry of the two newcomers, realme X2 Pro and Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition,has added some vitality to the list.

It should be noted that the modelsentering the Top 10 list may not be the premium editions of each series.Theoretically, premium editions may achieve higher scores due to higher storageconfiguration, but other factors such as power consumption and heat dissipationcapability may also affect performance, after all hardware doesn't tell the whole story.

2. Mid-range phones

For mid-range phones, Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB RAM +128GB storage variant took the first place once again with an average Antutu score of 283,092 points. Redmi Note 8 Pro is the firstsmaphone to ship with MediaTek’s G90T SoC which is specifically designed forgaming phones.

Coming second is OPPO Reno2 8GB RAM+256GBstorage variant, which achieves an average Antutu score of 260,650 points. Mi9T 6GB RAM +128GB storage variant ranked third with an average Antutu score of 251,491points. Both the two devices are powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC, but thedifference is that Reno2 uses Snapdragon 730 G while Mi 9T uses Snapdragon 730. 

It is claimed by Qualcomm that Snapdragon 730Gcan provide 15% faster GPU rendering than Snapdragon 730 as it integrates anenhanced Adreno 618 GPU. In addition, the optimized graphics card and Wi-Filatency manager can bring smooth and faster gaming experience. The chip also supportssome Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. That’s why OPPO Reno2 outperformed Mi 9T.          

Other devices that have made it to the listof the Top 10 best performing mid-range phones are Samsung A80 8GB RAM +128GB storagevariantavg. score: 244,168), Mi 9 SE 6GB RAM +128GB storage variantavg. score: 220,316), realme XT 8GB RAM +128GB storage variantavg. score: 217845), realme Q 8GB RAM +128GB storage variantavg. score: 217,345), Mi 9 Lite 6GB RAM +128GBstorage variantavg. score: 209,523), Redmi Note 7 Pro 6GB RAM +128GB storage variantavg. score: 207,781) and Vsmart Live 6GB RAM +64GB storage variantavg. score: 206,778).

In particular, the tenth-ranked Vsamrt Livecomes from a Vietnam company-VinSmart, which belongs to Vingroup. The phone ispowered by Snapdragon 675 SoC. It features a FHD+ AMOLED 6.2-inch screen, a4000 mAh battery and support dual SIM cards.    

Generally speaking, for mid-range phones, powerfulSoC and UFS storage is a must for entering the top 10 list. Larger storage configurationor dual-channel UFS storage are pluses.

In December, new dual mode 5G smartphonespowered by processors from Samsung,Qualcomm and MediaTek are expected to bereleased, when there will be great changes in our ranking list. Let’s staytuned.
