Emirates returns to Glasgow

Emirates is to re-start passenger flights between Glasgow and Dubai from July 15.

The return to the Scottish city follows the resumption flights to and from Manchester and Heathrow, following confirmation that Dubai will re-open to international visitors from July 7.

Dubai links to Cairo and Tunis will also resume from July 1 and Malé from July 16.

This will bring the long-haul carrier’s network up to 52 destinations in July, offering travellers convenient connections between the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas through its Dubai hub.

However, visitors to Dubai must hold an international health insurance policy covering illness from Covid-19 for the duration of their stay.

All non-essential travel from the UK continues to be barred by the Foreign Office until the government confirms which countries it deems ‘Covid safe’ with new travel corridors, with an announcement due on Wednesday.
