The View’s Joy Behar Suggests Trump Took a Bribe to Flip Flop on TikTok Ban: ‘Who’s Paying Him?’
Joy Behar suggested that former President Donald Trump’s sudden reversal on his opposition to TikTok is because he’s being paid off.
The View co-hosts discussed the latest development with the House of Representatives passing a divestment bill mandating that ByteDance, the Chinese company that has an ownership interest in TikTok, to sell that interest within the next six months or face a ban in the U.S.
Trump — who, during his presidency, took efforts to ban TikTok in the U.S. — came out against the bill earlier this week, claiming that the legislation would empower Facebook. House lawmakers supportive of Trump’s policies, such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), subsequently voted against the bipartisan bill on Wednesday.
Behar then suggested, on Thursday’s episode of The View, that Trump’s about face was the result of his taking a bribe.
I’m not on Tik Tok. I’m on Lipitor….The one thing that interests me about this topic, and it’s very boring to me. I have to say….I’m interested that Donald Trump was against TikTok because he was against China. Right. And they wanted to be a tough on China. Right? But now he’s against TikTok. So my my question is, who’s paying him? You know, if you give this grifter money, he’ll be pro-immigrants. The guy will be anything pro if you pay him off.
