For over 37 years, St. Matthew’s House has tackled challenges born from the needs of Southwest Florida.

Nearly 152,000 individuals experience food insecurity in Southwest Florida every year.

Homelessness
Collier and Lee County Homeless Coalitions identified more than 1,500 adults and more than 1,700 children experiencing homelessness in our communities.

Addiction
In 2023, Florida’s 7,769 accidental overdose deaths were the 2nd most nationally.

Under-employment
Individuals recovering from crisis find great difficulty securing living wage jobs.
