Right?

A message for fellow webcomic creators: All the ads on this site have been hosted by the Project Wonderful network and, as you’ve probably heard, Project Wonderful is shutting down all ad hosting on July 11th.

Project Wonderful holds a special place in my heart. Not only was it created and run by a fellow webcomic creator (Ryan North), but they were the only ad network willing to take on my webcomic with gay heroes back when I started. I feel they’ve really done what they set out to do—make ads actually useful (for finding other cool webcomics), instead of just being annoying site pollution. They will very much be missed.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do with ads on this site. For the past few years, they haven’t generated any real revenue for me. They’ve really just helped pay for the Project Wonderful ads I ran on other webcomics, and now that will be ending. Maybe I’ll host my own ads. Maybe I just won’t have ads here at all. But I know from personal experience that Project Wonderful has offered the most affordable way to advertise in webcomics, period, and I’ll be keeping my ads on this site until the end. So, if you’ve been thinking about putting your ad up here to connect with our readers for your webcomic, looks like now would be the time.

A message for our awesome readers: Is Spooky a jerk for not telling Anaado right from the start how awesome Kyle is, or is he being sensitive to his long-lost friend Anaado who’s literally been through Hell? Does Spooky have a heart of ice to be as calm as he is during this discussion, is he just being focused while working the problem, or is he simply in shock? And this Anaado guy—is he a sweet puppy about to get his heart broken or is he a big, selfish jerk, potentially with evil intentions? And finally, what does the title of this chapter mean, and will Spooky need to make the ultimate sacrifice to save both of the demons he cares about? These are some of the questions y’all are exploring in the comments, and they’ve been a total delight for me to read. Please keep it up. I was looking forward to getting to this chapter, and it’s a huge amount of fun for me to read such interesting speculation again. 🙂

So! Seems like saving Anaado has meant a lot to our magic-using private investigator, and now it looks like Spooky is trying to break the bad news. But is Anaado ready to hear it?  And if he isn’t, what will Spooky do?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀
