Exo Overdose Codes Meaning
So I was bored and I calculated the codes on the overdose album cover
- Minseok
To get Minseok’s duodecimal number
For the first three characters:
1. Minseok’s Shirt number + Exo’s Debut Date = 99+ 408 = 507
2. Divide the sum by the largest power of 12 which is still small enough to give a whole number for a quotient. In this case 144 is appropriate. 507/144 = 3 with a remainder of 75. The quotient is the first digit of Minseok’s code.
3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 75, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 75/12 = 6 remainder 3. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number of the code and the remainder is the third.
4. The final character is just the last letter of their stage name so for Minseok (Xiumin) it’s N.
5. Put it all together. 363N
- Luhan
To get Luhan’s duodecimal number
For the first three characters:
1. Luhan’s Shirt number + Exo’s Debut Date = 77+ 408 = 485 (apparently they used 77 for Luhan here)
2. Divide the sum by the largest power of 12 which is still small enough to give a whole number for a quotient. In this case 144 is appropriate. 485/144 = 3 with a remainder of 53. The quotient is the first digit of Luhan’s code.
3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 53, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 53/12 = 4 remainder 5. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number of the code and the remainder is the third.
4. The final character is just the last letter of their stage name so for Luhan it’s N.
5. Put it all together. 345N
- Junmyeon
To get Junmyeon’s duodecimal number
For the first three characters:
1. Junmyeon’s Shirt number + Exo’s Debut Date = 7+ 408 = 415 (apparently they used 7 for Suho here)
2. Divide the sum by the largest power of 12 which is still small enough to give a whole number for a quotient. In this case 144 is appropriate. 415/144 = 2 with a remainder of 127. The quotient is the first digit of Junmyeon’s code.
3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 127, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 127/12 = 10 remainder 7. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number of the code and the remainder is the third. And 10 is represented by A. So his 2nd and third characters are A7
4. The final character is just the last letter of their stage name so for Junmyeon (Suho) it’s O.
5. Put it all together. 2A7O
- Yi Fan
To get Yi Fan’s duodecimal number
For the first three characters:

3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 120, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 120/12 = 10 remainder 0. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number of the code and the remainder is the third. And 10 is represented by A. so his 2nd and third characters are A0.
4. The final character is just the last letter of their stage name so for Yi Fan (Kris) it’s S.
5. Put it all together. 2A0S
- Yixing

3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 130, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 130/12 = 10 remainder 10. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number ofthe code and the remainder is the third. And 10 is represented by A. So his 2nd and third characters are AA

1. Baekhyun’s Shirt number + Exo’s Debut Date = 4+ 408 = 412
2. Divide the sum by the largest power of 12 which is still small enough to give a whole number for a quotient. In this case 144 is appropriate. 412/144 = 2 with a remainder of 124. The quotient is the first digit of Baekhyun’s code.
3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 124, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 124/12 = 10 remainder 4. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number of the code and the remainder is the third. In duodecimal 10 since it’s a double digit number is represented as A.so Baek’s 2nd character is A not 10. His 2nd and 3rd characters are A4
4. The final character is just the last letter of their stage name so for Baekhyun it’s N.
5. Put it all together. 2A4N

3. For the next two character, divide the remainder, 127, with the power of 12 which will give a whole number quotient again. So for this case it is 12 itself. 141/12 = 11 remainder 9. The quotient for this division is the 2nd number of the code and the remainder is the third. And 11 is represented by B. So 2nd and third characters are B9
