Incredibles 2: Watch the Underminer get undermined by the superhero family

When supervillains strike, it’s nice to know there’s a family of heroes ready to take them down — and in such a stylish way.

Enjoy EW’s exclusive first look at the first battle of Incredibles 2, the follow-up to Disney/Pixar’s 2004 animated hit, which finds the titular family back in action with no time lost.

The sequel (in theaters June 15) picks up right where the first film left off, with our heroes Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson), Violet (Sarah Vowell), and Dash (Huck Milner) spying the arrival of the soil-happy villain the Underminer (John Ratzenberger). Of course, the Parr family immediately answers the distress call to stop the Underminer from destroying their fair city, each one using their Brad Bird-given powers to stop him in his muddy tracks.

This inciting clash with the Underminer is just the tip of the iceberg for Incredibles 2, though (and we’re not just saying that because Samuel L. Jackson’s Frozone also springs back into superhero mode). The 14-years-in-the-making sequel has some key questions to ask of its principal characters: With Supers still much considered illegal in Municiberg, what happens after the family’s very public citywide battles? And will the Incredibles pay for saving the day?
