I just installed CFBuilder 2 and the Hotfix 1 as a standalone
install. After viewing the Unit Testing presentation on CF Developer
Week, I thought I'd give it a spin. I attempted to install from the
update site (http://mxunit.org/update). It downloads and starts to
install, then I get this error:

An error occurred while installing the items
session context was:(profile=profile,
phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Install,
operand=null --> [R]com.adobe.ide.coldfusion.search 2.0.0.277745,
action=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.touchpoint.eclipse.actions.InstallBundleAction).
The artifact file for osgi.bundle,com.adobe.ide.coldfusion.search,
2.0.0.277745 was not found.

Here is a pic of the error, but I don't think it gives any more detail
than what I pasted above.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions?

Ugggg.....

OK, so, this isn't an mxunit problem, but a cfbuilder problem.
Unfortunately, I can only think of one solution:

In the update screen, there's a checkbox about "contact all sites
during update" or something like that. Make sure that thing is
unchecked, and then see if it'll let you proceed without that error.

If that doesnt' work, let me know and I'll pass this along to Adobe
and see if they have any thoughts.

I unchecked the box, but still get the error. The weird thing is that
an MXUnit tab shows up next to snippets. I'm not sure what other places
MXUnit should appear in CFBuilder to judge whether its working or not.

Thanks,
Carl

If you do Window -- Show View, it'll pop up a list of views. From
there, type "mxunit" to filter. If it's installed, it'll show up.

Can you install any other plugins, like Subclipse?

I'll check things out on Monday and get back to you.

Hey Carl,

Adobe asked me to have you try this:

rename

<USER_Home>/Adobe ColdFusion Builder 2.0 Configuration/

to

<USER_Home>/Adobe ColdFusion Builder 2.0 Configuration_XX/
(Or any another name is also OK)

And then try updating.

That worked. Looks like I should be all set now. Was something screwed
up in my configuration then?

Thanks,
Carl

I don't think so. Looks like a Plain Old CFBuilder Bug.
