PS Vita Horror Game Death Mark Fully Revealed

The latest Dengeki (via Hachima) has detailed the recently teased game from Experience, what we now know as Shiin, or Death Mark.

Originally, it was expected to be a Nippon Ichi Software-developed game. Described as a horror-adventure game for PS Vita, it’s set for a release sometime this year in Japan. Development on the title is roughly 50% complete.

Much like the popular Danganronpa and Zero Escape series, this is Experience’s first attempt at the genre.

Set in in the Tokyo metropolitan region, a rumor starts circulating that anyone “who has the death birthmark will die,” coupled with a strange event that comes from having the mark.

The protagonist, an amnesiac middle-aged man, selects from a group of these marked people in a creepy mansion to investigate, explore, and hopefully survive. Upon visiting the mansion, you’re greeted by its master who holds a beautiful doll that is capable of speaking.

You’ll have to explore special areas within the mansion to hopefully find clues as to how your death curse might be cured. Exploring these areas means you’ll also be facing death itself, so you’ll have to make choices to survive – naturally the wrong choice will result in a game over.
