Text description provided by the architects. The IES has been made entirely with precast concrete (structural and facade), built in just ten months with an impoverished palette of materials: white-painted concrete, plasterboard and aluminum windows. It is organized as an asymmetrical T, with the administration wing, that ends with a porch, arranged perpendicular to the main wing, with lobby at the intersection.

The outer and inner formalization elects to explore possibilities to enhance the overall perception and language of teaching public building. It wants to avoid the syntax generated by the composition from prefabricated elements. This syntax does not want to hide, just show up as an instrument. You can not give the reason for the entire building.

The asymmetrical placement of the administration wing creates a front yard of access to schools, paved like the rest of the street. A little area is closed and becomes bicycle parking. The classrooms are arranged north and parallel to them, a strip protected by a concrete block lattice contains the auxiliary and service. For the empty modules of this strip is lit hallway.

The building has three ground floors: the lower street level, contains general access level patios. The intermediate hasmaintenance access and emergency exit, taking advantage of the steep slope of the street, and the upper deporfivaarea connects to the newly built, located nine meters abovethe site. It has a fence enclosure urban and street frontage on Mont Perdut to help unite an unstructured area, with atotal absence of references equipment and dimensions of these features can alleviate.
