The Degrowth Movement for Climate Change has swelled in recent years, particularly in Europe and in academic circles, now it’s been linked up with Communism. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

Make no mistake about it, the Climate Change Movement as it exists around the world in 2024 is very much a religion, and within that context, its adherents are working feverishly to bring in an eco-theocracy. The object of worship is, of course, the divine feminine in the form of ‘Mother Earth’, and now a new group called the ‘Degrowth Movement’ combines Agenda 2030 with Communism. Doesn’t that sound exciting? It does if you’re Bill Gates or Klaus Schwab. Say hello to the ‘new guy’, Kohei Saito

Of course, all of this is leading us towards Communism, towards the enslavement warned about in books like ‘1984’ that was written by a Socialist who saw the handwriting on the wall. The concept of man-made climate change is a hoax, not even close to being true on any level. But it makes an excellent cudgel with which to batter your fellow man into submission. According to their own evolutionist doctrines, the most climate change happened in the Neoproterozoic Period 600 million years ago when the planet was much warmer than today. In the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum Period around 92 million years ago, another heat spike. And in the Younger Dryas Period of about 12,000 years ago, things abruptly cooled off. Ice Age. You will note that none of these periods were affected by anything man was or was not doing. So whether it’s C40 Cites, eating bugs instead of steak, Degrowth Communism, Climate Change, Agenda 2030, or the Great Reset, it all comes from the same people, and takes you the same place. Is America Ready for ‘Degrowth Communism’?

FROM MICROSOFT START: The theory has dramatic implications. Instead of finding carbon-neutral ways to power our luxurious modern lifestyles, degrowth would require us to surrender some material comforts. One leading proponent suggests imposing a hard cap on total national energy use, which would ratchet down every year. Energy-intensive activities might be banned outright or taxed to near oblivion. (Say goodbye, perhaps, to hamburgers, SUVs, and your annual cross-country flight home for the holidays.) You’d probably be prohibited from setting the thermostat too cold in summer or too warm in winter. To keep frivolous spending down, the government might decide which products are “wasteful” and ban advertising for them. Slower growth would require less labor, so the government would shorten the workweek and guarantee a job for every person.

Saito did not invent degrowth, but he has put his own spin on it by adding the C word – Communism

As for what kind of “communism” we’re talking about, Saito tends to emphasize workers’ cooperatives and generous social-welfare policies rather than top-down Leninist state control of the economy. He says he wants democratic change rather than revolution—though he’s fuzzy on how exactly you get people to vote for shrinkage.

This message has found an enthusiastic audience. Saito’s 2020 book, Capital in the Anthropocene, sold half a million copies. He took a job at the prestigious University of Tokyo and became a regular commentator on Japanese TV—one of the few far-left talking heads in that country’s conservative media sphere. When we met up in April, he was touring the northeastern U.S. to promote the new English translation of the book, titled Slow Down: The Degrowth Manifesto, and planning to appear on a series of panels at Georgetown University to discuss his ideas. One day during his New York stint, we visited the pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University, where a young protester named Tianle Zhang spotted him and waved him over, telling Saito he’s the reason he’s applying to graduate school. They took a selfie together, and Saito posted it on X.

Saito’s haters are just as passionate as his admirers. The right-wing podcaster James Lindsay recently dedicated a three-hour episode to what he called Saito’s “death cult.” Liberals who favor renewable energy and other technologies say Saito’s ideas would lead to stagnation. On the pro-labor left, Jacobin magazine published multiple articles criticizing degrowth in general and Saito in particular, calling his vision a “political disaster” that would hurt the working class. And don’t get the Marxist textualists started; they accuse Saito of distorting the great man’s words in order to portray Marx as the OG degrowth communist.

On a recent Saturday, Saito sat onstage at the People’s Forum, a community center in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, along with three other panelists: a historian, a geographer, and a journalist from The New Republic. It was a friendly crowd, but each of the panelists cast gentle doubt on Saito’s pitch. The historian said he’d like to see more modeling of the impact of degrowth policies; the geographer wondered how a degrowth agenda would ever expand beyond small, local experiments; and the journalist, Kate Aronoff, suggested that degrowth had a branding problem.

Saito had just begun his U.S. tour, and he was already encountering more resistance than he’d expected. “One thing surprising about American culture is they’re really anti-degrowth,” Saito told me after the event, as we walked along a chaotic stretch of 9th Avenue. READ MORE

Benjamin Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir promised the Jews no Palestinian state and that Israel would be kept safe. They already broke the second promise and are in the process of breaking the first one

In the Bible, there is a good king by the name of Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20, and he gets sick and finds himself at the point of death. He cries out to the LORD for more time, and God gives him another 15 years of life. That’s the good part. The bad part is that during that period, King Hezekiah fathers a son named Manasseh, and he is the worst king that Judah would ever have, a total disaster for Israel. The extra time was not really a blessing. So it is in Israel today, Benjamin Netanyahu pulled out all the stops to obtain his fifth term in office, and, well, he should have quit at four.

So it is in Israel today, not content with four highly-acclaimed terms as prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu pulled out all the stops to obtain his fifth term in office, and it’s going as bad as it could possibly go. The very same people who promised to keep Israel safe and to prevent a Palestinian state are turning out to be the same people who will be inadvertently responsible for creating it. Benjamin Netanyahu talks about the Bible fairly often, and will quote it from time to time, but he either doesn’t understand it or doesn’t really believe what he reads. Your King James Bible mentions the state of Palestine, by name, multiple times, a state that has never existed in the last 6,000 years but is about to come on the scene in our day.

The prophet Isaiah, the most-quoted prophet in the New Testament, tells us clearly that in the last days there will be no king in Israel, and that it will be ruled by a group of ‘scornful men’. Benjamin Netanyahu, Bezalel Smotrich, and Itamar Ben-Gvir fit that bill perfectly. Mark it down, there will be a state of Palestine and you will see it created before your very eyes. The prophets have spoken.

It’s ironic, but Netanyahu, Smotrich, and Ben-Gvir will be the founders of state of Palestine

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: It is difficult to point to moments of sincerity in the ranks of the current Israeli political leadership, which for the most part wraps itself in slogans with the expectation that these will hide the dark truths of our lives. However, two weeks ago, we witnessed a rare moment of sincerity on the part of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich who, in an exceptional act of disclosure, told his audience – the heads of the Jewish local councils in the West Bank – that “the danger of a Palestinian state becoming a reality is more tangible than it has been for years.”

What was absent from Smotrich’s words was some sort of soul-searching in light of the fact that it was precisely this government, known as “the right-wing government to its fullest,” in which he is a senior partner, that has brought us to the threshold of the very Palestinian state against which he issued his warning.

As someone who believes wholeheartedly that a Palestinian state must be a top priority goal of any Zionist government, I always heard statements such as: “Only the Right is capable of bringing peace,” and at least in one case it seemed to be correct, when Menachem Begin, a prime minister from the Likud, signed the peace treaty with Egypt. I thought that this notion only pertained to responsible right-wing leaders, as Begin and Sharon were in their later years. But now, it is the ultra-right-wing coalition that is advancing the vision of a Palestinian state against their will.

It seems that the radical slogan, “the situation must get really bad before it gets better,” has been proven correct in this case, ironically. Thus, the absolutely worst government that we have ever had – “right-wing to its fullest” – on whose watch the October 7 disaster occurred – many would even say: as a direct result of their neglect – has brought about the recognition, throughout the entire world, that there is no alternative to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

There is no other way to replace the Hamas in Gaza, to achieve normalization for Israel in the region, and to bring about regional and international stability.

Smotrich is correct: The Netanyahu government has brought itself to an impasse, both in terms of security and foreign relations, with the only possible exit being the advancement of the establishment of a Palestinian state. Netanyahu, Smotrich, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir have succeeded where Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres, and Ehud Barak failed in showing the world how essential a viable Palestinian state is, not only as a response to the Palestinian aspiration for self-determination but more so: as the only possible option, to stabilize the region in terms of security and diplomacy. They showed very clearly, that a Palestinian state is not only a Palestinian goal but also a major Israeli interest.

While Netanyahu ignores the possibility of a Palestinian state, it has become the only way out of the no-purpose war in which he has involved us.

In the face of the government’s failure to act in the diplomatic sphere, there are only two choices for Israel, for the countries in the region, and for the entire free world: complete Israeli conquest of Gaza, including full control over civilian and military matters, with the disastrous security and economic ramifications that this entails, or transferring the control over Gaza to what Defense Minister Yoav Gallant defines as “a non-hostile Palestinian regime.” In other words, an improved Palestinian Authority (PA,) that will necessarily become the Palestinian state.

The PA will not rush in to take control over Gaza, overflowing as it is with challenges, if it does not receive a solid commitment to promote a Palestinian state. Therefore, sooner or later, Israel will also understand that it has no way out of the problem, other than to create a partnership with the Palestinian state under formation.Smotrich and his partners in the right-wing government will have become – obviously against their will – the founders of the Palestinian nation as well. The more they have denied its existence, the more they strengthened it, turning it into the only viable solution to a problem that has been haunting us for the past 57 years of Israeli control of the West Bank and Gaza.

THIS IS the problem that exploded in our faces with the murderous rampage on October 7, and which those politicians continue to exacerbate. The option of military and civilian Israeli control in Gaza does not really exist, because the price it would demand, in lives lost and destroyed, in economic crisis, and in unprecedented political isolation, along with the increase of regional threats – is too great a burden for the Israeli state and society – so great that it would tear apart the society and put the very existence of the State in danger.

Therefore, the government of Israel must, without delay, advance a regional arrangement that will include the release of all the hostages, the entrance of a revitalized PA into Gaza; the rebuilding of Gaza; normalization with Saudi Arabia; and the approval of a road map for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

This arrangement would be a win-win situation for all, except for Hamas, Iran, and our own extremists, who are endangering the stability of the Middle East and the political, economic, and security interests of the free world.

We will still need to deal with security arrangements, disarmament, and so on, but for the sake of the security of our State and its citizens, for the sake of the hostages, for the sake of ensuring the continued existence of the State of Israel as a democratic homeland of the Jewish people, it is our duty to march on towards the establishment of a Palestinian state. Changes in leadership in the PA are essential, just as they are essential in Israel. If we find the way to extricate the region from the political and security stalemate that threatens to destroy us, we will assist in speeding these changes along. SOURCE

French president Emmanuel Macron ‘outraged’ by Israeli strikes on Rafah, calls for ‘immediate’ ceasefire in battle against Hamas

It is highly likely that when Israel struck Hamas terrorists in Rafah, that the targeted hit found hidden caches of Hamas weapons that exploded, killing dozens of Palestinian civilians. The Jerusalem reports “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the IDF strike that killed 45 Palestinian civilians in Gaza a “tragic mistake” as he vowed never to wave the white flag of defeat as he rejected domestic and international calls to end the war.”

“But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:” Amos 1:7 (KJB)

In Paris, tens of thousands of demonstrators have gathered in Paris to protest against Israel’s military offensive in Gaza, with Emmanuel Macron leading the way with inflammatory tweets on X. At the same time, Slovenia’s Prime Minister Robert Golob says his government will decide on the recognition of a Palestinian state on Thursday and forward its decision to parliament for final approval. Israel is rapidly being painted into a corner, a corner that has it edges perched firmly in the writings of the prophets.

Emmanuel Macron demands Israel begin ceasefire immediately

FROM THE MIDDLE EAST MONITOR: The French president Monday expressed his “outrage” over Israeli strikes on Rafah, Anadolu news agency reported.

“Outraged by the Israeli strikes that have killed many displaced persons in Rafah,” Emmanuel Macron wrote on X. “These operations must stop. There are no safe areas in Rafah for Palestinian civilians. I call for full respect for international law and an immediate ceasefire,” the president added.

At least 35 people were killed and dozens injured as Israel targeted a camp for displaced people and houses in the southern Gaza city of Rafah on Sunday, said medical sources and officials.

Outraged by the Israeli strikes that have killed many displaced persons in Rafah.

These operations must stop. There are no safe areas in Rafah for Palestinian civilians.

I call for full respect for international law and an immediate ceasefire.

The attack occurred near the logistics base of the UN Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in Tal al-Sultan, said the Gaza Media Office.

Israel has been waging a brutal offensive against Gaza since October, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire. The offensive has killed at least 36,000 Palestinians, mainly children and women, and wounded almost 80,000 others.

More than seven months into the Israeli war, vast swathes of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel is accused of “genocide” at the ICJ, which has ordered Tel Aviv to ensure its forces do not commit acts of genocide and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
