International fast fashion retailer H&M have announced plans to launch its tenth store in NSW, set to open in Narellan's Town Centre.

This is the company's second store to open in the southern region of the state, following the opening of H&M in Macarthur Square in November 2016.

The new store will span 2,000 square metres over a singular level and will offer apparel, underwear and accessories across the men's, women's, children's and baby ranges.

H&M Australian country manager Hans Andersson said the company was excited to be continuing expansion throughout Sydney's urban areas.

“We are excited to be opening our H&M store at Narellan Town Centre on the 4th August and to now offer our customers two incredible shopping destinations in the south-west of Sydney.

“We look forward to continuing our urban expansion and cannot wait to see the response on opening day.”

The store opening also forms part of the Narellan Town Centre's broader expansion plans, which will be completed in August.

As part of the development an additional 70 new stores will open, taking the centre to over 70,000 square metres and offering over 230 specialty stores.

Narellan Town Centre centre manager Brad Page welcomed the introduction of the fast fashion retailer, noting the important role it will play in increasing the fashion offering to the local community.

“We are very excited to be welcoming such a well-known fashion brand, H&M, to Narellan Town Centre. As a key tenant occupying a 2,000 square metre tenancy, we are increasing our fashion offering to the community."

H&M is now the second fast fashion retailer to announce further expansion plans, following the news that Topshop Australia had entered voluntary administration, with competitor Uniqlo also stating it would continue to grow its local footprint.

H&M will now operate 21 stores across the country.
