This year’s version of Las Calaveras is now heading to stores.

Crowned Heads has begun shipping the Las Calaveras Edición Limitada 2020, an annual limited edition release for the company. This year’s version uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, has previously said that the 2020 version was not an attempt at recreating a previous Las Calaveras blend.

  • Las Calaveras Edición Limitada 2020 LC48 (5 1/2 x 48) — $10.95 (Box of 24, $262.80)

The company has dramatically reduced production for this release. There will be 1,000 boxes of each size and 500 samplers; last year the company produced 1,700 boxes of each size and 2,500 samplers.

Las Calaveras is made to celebrate the lives of individuals who have passed away, their initials are placed inside medallions which can be found on the sides of the cigar’s main band. This is the seventh Las Calaveras release.
