Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have finally been launched, coming after months of leaks and Google’s own information dump earlier this year. It’s also a landmark release for the Mountain View company in many ways.

The new phones both sport an in-house chipset for the first time, as opposed to using a chipset from long-time partner Qualcomm. This new processor also sports Google’s own machine learning silicon, used for everything from offline dictation to photography.

Speaking of photography, we also get upgraded camera hardware for the first time in years, with the standard Pixel gaining a 50MP main+12MP ultra-wide rear camera combo. Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 Pro brings a 48MP 4X periscope camera to the fray, marking the first time a Pixel phone has a triple rear camera system.

More on the Pixel 6 series:

These latest Pixels also bring faster wired charging (topping out at 30W), bigger batteries, wireless charging, water/dust resistance, and high refresh rate screens. So plenty of boxes are being ticked here.

The starting price of $599 also seems like a rather interesting price point, positioning the standard Pixel against the likes of the Galaxy S20 FE and Xiaomi Mi 11. But what do you think of the Pixel 6 series? Let us know by taking our poll further up the page.
