A former football star has been accused of a ten-year campaign of abuse and harassment against Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan. Taiwo Leo Atieno, 39, who played for Kenya and Luton Town, was in a relationship with the founding bandmember, 40, between 2015 and 2018. During that time, he is alleged to have assaulted the star on three occasions, after which she had to undergo physiotherapy.

A nursery worker accused of abusing 24 babies left children crying and 'writhing around' in pain after repeatedly pinching, punching and grabbing them, a court heard today. Roksana Lecka, 22, is accused of 'badly harming' 23 of the infants, aged 18 months to two years, while she worked at a £1,900-a-month Montessori nursery in Twickenham, west London, between January 31 and June 28 last year. Lecka, wearing a grey jumper, white collared shirt and black headscarf, denies 21 counts of child cruelty at the Twickenham Green Montessori nursery, but has admitted two counts of the same offence. She is charged with a 24th count of child cruelty in October 2023, before she started working at the nursery.

Robert Prevost gave a heartfelt appraisal to Pope Francis, who died aged 88 on Easter Monday last month, as he addressed adorning crowds in Rome after being unveiled as the 267th pontiff. The 69-year-old, who is also history's first ever American Pope, appeared in front of jubilant followers on the balcony of St Peter's Basilica, telling them 'Peace be with you' and offering a reminder of God's  unconditional love. 'And Pope Francis, in fact, was always courageous, and he blessed Rome. The Pope that blessed Rome gave his blessing to the world, to the whole world on that Easter morning,' he added. Pope Leo went onto thank Francis for his work and his 'brother cardinals' who have chosen me to be the successor of Peter'.

President Donald Trump said he will 'look forward to meeting' Robert Prevost who has become the first American pope in history. The pontiff, who will be named Pope Leo XIV, is the 267th Pope, will become Francis' successor following two days of voting inside the Sistine Chapel. In his first words, Pope Leo said 'Peace be with you', offering a message of peace and dialogue 'without fear.' Trump hailed the election as a 'great honor' for the United States as Pope Leo, 69, becomes the first American pontiff in the 2,000-year history of the Catholic Church.

The company launched a review of its global creative account - currently held by Accenture Song and its in-house agency Spark44 until mid-2026 - following widespread criticism over its campaign, The Telegraph reported. Adam first noticed Willow had swelling behind her head and a lack of appetite. Initially, he believed she had been stung by a wasp. Her symptoms got worse and the lump became an open wound. Adam took her to the vets where they discovered Willow had been bitten by a venomous adder. Adders are the only venomous snake in Britain, while their venom is of little danger to humans, a bite can prove fatal for dogs.

Gary Neville has admitted being 'worse for wear' after attending a lavish party thrown by David Beckham to mark his 50th birthday last week.
