Solstice armor is a waste.
First armor set from the season pass rolled with a higher stat score than my Solstice armor.
Am I missing something here? Cause if not, I learned my lesson for good now. No more grinding out Solstice armor for me.

They said that and delivered. As such, just like the first drop of ANY gear in a DLC, it quickly gets out powered by a litany of gear. That was to be completely expected. What, did you think Bungie would be stupid enough to drop it at 900 for you so the grind to the level cap was invalidated? That would have been idiotic. So what exactly did you expect them to have this set do? This group whines like a bunch of 11 year old girls. The only valid complaint I’ve heard is about the master working. There is no reason that shouldn’t have carried over as all MW weapons carried over - armor should have been handled the same way.

2 RepliesBungie loves giving the middle finger to their player base. They tricked us into grinding for the Solstice armor and buying the glows, and then they basically make it completely useless. You should at least be able to use it as an ornament on all your armor (including glows), but they couldn't careless and will just ignore us all. Screw them!

I started on it, but then I saw a Titan wearing a full set and stopped. Looked like someone from Dancing With the Stars ready to do the Samba.

I tried to put the glowing sh#t on the new 2.0, but no way Jose. Everybody knew the solstice armor was only a cosmetics thing/an introduction to armor 2.0. Thats why i never completed mine. I don't need to look like big bird from sesame street, and get killed every ten sec's. Now i get killed every 10 sec's and look normal. But really: can't you infuse it then? That would be a bummer. By the way: it's normal that the first "new" armor part comes higher then an older one. Thats the whole idea of building up power. You could know this allready. Also: this is Destiny, the game. You grind for cool stuff and two months later, or earlier, better stuffs pops up. That, you could also know. There's allways something new. It keeps the game moving.

they never said it would be the best set . plus unless you get 100 on all stats or just one stat hunting is kind pointless

I acquired 1 set for my Warlock, but didn't even go past the green armor on my alts. It is all now stored in the vault. Probably never to see the light of day again.

i grinded that stuff out before the requirement nerf. i got the trade in 2.0 version. i never even put it on. just dismantled it.

God...its just made to look cool. Not to make you reach 950 or idk what you expected. Once im at max level cap ill be using and upgrading my solstice armors. Because i like the sets.

Yep I knew it would be like that and it is also 1 mod slot off, I grinded 1 character and called it good just to be safe

What i dislike the most is all the things you had to do the get it masterworked and now it’s for nothing actualy, because you have to do it again on the same armor so to speak....

I did the solstice set because I was sick of wearing the same stuff all the time. Needed a change.

These sets appear to exists for two reasons only: -Looks (I ground out the Warlock set because it looks amazing with any black shader) -Bragging rights (and even then it’s more just saying, “Hey look at how much time I spent getting this!” I’ll infuse mine and wear it around the tower, but I’m never gonna use it in combat. [spoiler]Sorry, all out of salt.[/spoiler]

3 RepliesShadowkeep is a waste. Seems like bungie is perfecting reskinning, timed activities and gates, and grinding more tiers of the same activities with no wow moments and killing the power fantasy. Yay Crucible is fun though

To the people that bought the Bungie bull shit on the Solstice armor, [i][b]why[/b][/i]? Why do you believe what Bungie says? You know that everything going on with them is some combination of sleight of hand, half-truths and obfuscation.

I grinded out some with enhanced perks, so I’ll hang onto those rather than the 2.0 versions. It felt more like the 2.0 armor was added so it wouldn’t feel like it was immediately rendered obsolete
