MIFLASH METHOD
Downloads:
MiFlash 2018
Prog Emmc Firehose ELF(Patched) Credits: Chocoml
Any ARB4 fastboot rom:
Global: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.6.4.0.O...FD_20180828.0000.00_8.1_global_f5ee62becf.tgz
China: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.0.1.0....EICNFH_20180821.0000.00_8.1_cn_7a9c72f518.tgz

1. Download and Extract fastboot rom folder. You can use any latest fastboot rom. If you have Global variant use Global fastboot rom and if China variant use China fastboot rom to prevent being stucked on recovery (Miui version can't be installed in this device).
2. Download and Replace prog_emmc_firehose_Sdm660_ddr.elf with the patched file above in the fastboot images folder.
3. Try to power cycle phone. Hold Power button for about 20-30 secs or longer. Or try any button combinations. (HOLD Power + VolDOWN) or (Power + VolUP), or (Power + VolDOWN + VolUP).
4. Connect phone to PC, open MIFLASH, load the fastboot folder.
5. Select CLEAN ALL and flash.
6. How to flash with MIFlash

1. Download and install QPST.
2. Download and Extract fastboot rom folder. You can use any latest fastboot rom. If you have Global variant use Global fastboot rom and if China variant use China fastboot rom to prevent being stucked on recovery (Miui version can't be installed in this device).
3. Download patched prog_emmc_firehose_Sdm660_ddr.mbn and copy inside fastboot rom images folder.
4. Try to power cycle phone. Hold Power button for about 20-30 secs or longer. Or try any button combinations. (HOLD Power + VolDOWN) or (Power + VolUP), or (Power + VolDOWN + VolUP).
5. Connect phone to PC, Run QFIL from bin folder, select Flat Build (prog_emmc_firehose_Sdm660_ddr.mbn), Load XML (rawprogram0.xml), (patch0.xml) and click Download.
6. How to flash with QFIL


** TROUBLESHOOTING **
1. If with "Write time out, maybe the device was disconnected" or "cannot receive hello packet" error on MIFlash. Disconnect phone from pc and hold power button again for 20-30 seconds. Reconnect to pc and try again.
2. If with "YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO DOWNLOAD" error on MIFLASH or 'Only nop and sig tag can be received before authentication' on QFIL, try to power cycle again OR hold those buttons while connecting it to PC. Try every combo and flash again.
3. If all failed then Remove back cover of the phone, do a testpoint. If it still doesn't work Disconnect the battery connector.
4. How to testpoint RMN5 .

Update: USERS with (You are not authorized to download) error CONFIRMED that the antibypass fastboot rom worked with Miflash by forcing edl/testpoint again or by flashing with the battery connector Disconnected.

I tried rom from here shared by friend,,,,
It is not work it said you are not authorized to download, i tried many many times is not work. Always same error,,,,
Until I read force edl, i try open with guitar pick my phone,,,,
And success!!!!!!
My phone not working for 4 weeks because I have miui pro install and i flash old miui version and it dead,,,,

This thread is awesome already fix arb hardbrick with flash testpoint using qfil ! I hve been waiting for a month and already try many way from another thread but still get "unauthorized acc" but this only one is success ! Btw my phone is redmi note 5(ai , china) and now already using miui 10 eu rom . Thanks dev !

I want to find an effective method unbrick , i'm get my phone brick .
testing miflash encounter NOT AUTHORIZED , QPST error firehose .
i'm comfirmed "Remove the back cover of your phone , do a testpoint , disconnect the battery connector " work perfect with Miflash , not message AUTHORIZED.. is the last solution and result

So it possibly wouldn't work with my fully functional arb4 device with fake ubl then? Unfortunately I don't have authorized account to remove fake ubl. Lol really despise xiaomi for their arb d**k move.

Thanks @devcon69 I unbricked redmi note 5 pro with MIFLASH method. I didn't required Testpoint/Force EDL it was already on it when ever i connected it to pc. I also recovered data by selecting save user data option. I was on 10.0.1.0 global stable with arb3 and played with .edl files from developers rom so bricked and now on arb4.
