How can PvPers endure Cyrodiil?

3 years with close to no issue with the game, I've done all trials with like one problem a month. 32GB computer, SSD hard disk, ASUS motherboard, Corsair memory, 50ms ping optic fiber connection. All drivers up to date.

Today I decided to try Cyrodiil.

20 minutes queue to enter. It's ok, my guild group is waiting with me anyway.
10 minutes after entering Cyrodiil, we wipe. I ress => permanent loading screen => after 3 minutes of waiting I had to terminate the client.
I get back in the game. Queue up. Position: #35. Wait for several minutes.
Cyrodiil pops, I enter. I have to ride to guild group, because they are far away and keeps routes are interrupted.
A ganker gets me. 2 shotted, despite I am wearing PvP gear and despite I am playing in the no CP campaign.
No problem. I ress and retry.
A ganker gets me again.
No problem. I ress => permanent loading screen => after 2 minutes of waiting I had to terminate the client.
I restart the client, but now it says my character is already logged in.
I quit again, I check the process manager to make sure every game process is closed. It is.
I restart launcher and client. Again, my character is already logged in.
I restart more 2-3 times, now it lets me in.
I queue up for Cyrodiil. Position #44. I wait for 30 minutes or so (!) because it's prime time and queue does not budge.
I join the guild group. Play perhaps 10 minutes. We wipe due to endless group of enemies steamrolling us.
No problem, this is PvP after all. We need to ress at a keep.
I ress => permanent loading screen => after 2 minutes of waiting I had to terminate the client.
I restart launcher and client. It lets me in. Phew!
I rejoyced too early. Position #65. Guild party leader says the guild event ends in 30 minutes.
I wait. Foods expire. Group is close to end and I am still > #20 in queue.
I decide to enter anyway. Cyrodiil pops and I enter.
I pick the destination keep. This time guild is right there!
I teleport => permanent loading screen => after 2 minutes of waiting I had to terminate the client.
At this point I am calling all sorts of Daedra names on ESO developers.

Now, how am I meant to actually PLAY Cyrodiil if I spent 2 hours in queue for 10 minutes of gameplay?

The loading screen issues suck, since it's causing you to close the game and then you get stuck in the queue again? Usually I'll pop right back into Cyrodiil if this is the case.

Honestly you can throw the ganker out of the equation, welcome to PvP, find ways to handle gankers. They waste me all the time when I'm alone, so I try not to be alone when traveling somewhere, even if I'm playing solo.

Also throw out your group getting jacked up, again, welcome to PvP.

Sounds like if you didn't have the technical issues you were experiencing, things would be par for the course.

I do understand it being frustrating, but PvP can be frustrating some days, you win some, you lose some. Keep at it and learn and you'll enjoy it more. However, I play on the PS4, but remember when we had the never ending load screens. I almost quit the game because of it, so definitely understand the crap you're going through there.

As it's very easily implied by the text, I have no issue at dying in PvP. It happens and I am a beginner so I expect that.
I don't expect having to waste 30-50 minutes in queue every 2 deaths because of bugs.

If you want to have some competitive PVP then duel someone in a PvE zone who's CP

Since they fixed it I've not been stuck in loading screen once, altho sometimes they are a couple of mins long. I also never queue to play, maybe choose a campaign that isn't full?

What platform are you on?

I only play open-world noCP (PC EU), I haven't had loading screens in a long time.

What server/faction are you on where there is a consistent queue for noCP?

Your own fault because you arent aware/prepared, PvP in Cyro is everywere, not only at sieges/large battles. What means moving around unbuffed and not ready for battle makes you an easy kill, probably something is wrong with your gear/build because its pretty hard to gank someone in 2 hits.

Hey that era actually produced some pretty interesting gorilla gameplay.

Think positive.. by only getting to taste Cyrodiil for 2-3 minutes at a time, you didn't notice the abysmal server performance causing everything to either take 1001 button presses or anywhere from 200-2000ms to be processed by the server... even if you have sub 100ms ping to the server.

the loading screens last 5-6 mins sit through it. If you need to crash ctrl alt delete game client and it wont kick you from cyro if you get back in fast enough. If anyone in your grp sees somebody in the ground or somebody is offline and yet raid frames show them online people will get loading screens from a port or releasing. Most "gankers" use macros that drop 4-5 abilitys from both bars at once, zenimax sees no problem with it so expect alot of it. Hope some of this helps

2 minutes of loading screen is endless? I guess I must have misunderstood the word endless this entire time. To be fair though, I have often waited longer than that in Cyro. Some days are like that is all, where its often faster to wait dead on the field until someone rezzes you than it is to rez at a keep and risk a loading screen

Why are you complaining? Evidently not a die-hard PVP purist. If you were on PS4, you would also log in to loss of Guild Chat channels and have to reload client too.

If I'm disconnecting a bunch (that was me last night) I'll call it quits somewhere between the 3-5th time. After a certain point, its not worth fighting to stay connected to the servers. I don't get nights like that too often, so I get plenty of chances to PVP. But on nights when I just can't seem to get in Cyrodiil and stay in Cyrodiil, I'm not going to continue to bang my head against the wall. I'll go find something else to do in game. Or watch a movie. Or read a book.
