So far so good

So far so good. I was able to watch movies both old and new and I am already using this for a month now. What I do is to connect it to my television and stream, which is actually working. Looking forward for more movies

Good, but a bit limited.

Generally very good, but limited to PC use/playback. Can't get an app for my smart tv or my playstation (3 or 4) so having to plug my PC into tv to watch is a pain. Could do with some cheaper Buy options too. Don't mind paying a premium for advanced release titles, but with secondhand DVD and Blurays available so cheaply some content is way overpriced.

Brilliant!

It is great to be able to just rent or buy a film or TV series whenever you want without any strings attached; no contract or minimum order etc...
not only do you get a trustworthy service from a respected company but you don't get lots of unwanted junk mail as s result of joining. I couldn't ask for more.

Great app, services and competitive prices.

Love BB offering.

Would be great if Blinkbox could enable items purchased from a UK account whilst overseas to be available straight away. Just bought True Detective whilst overseas, and planned to watch during long journey back to UK, but apparently can't until connects to UK WiFi again.

The only place I watch movies!

Can't fault Blinkbox... Always have the latest and best films ahead of all of the competition out there... and always plenty of deals and offers - especially with vouchers filled with generous discounts.

My only problem is that I keep getting logged out of Blinkbox via my LG smart TV and it's a bit annoying as it takes ages to sign back in again. The app feels like it needs an update to improve its response times and general speed but not sure if that will ever happen....

Could be cheaper

Considering the deals we used to get at video rental outlets I feel there is a price cartel going on as all online streaming services seem to cost the same. In theory the overall overheads should be less.
Also the releases for streaming don't correspond closely to blu-ray or DVDs release. However as streaming companies go Blinkbox is good. So come on Blinkbox move deals and incentives to reach 5 stars.

Great site, Great choice of Films and TV Series

I love the fact that BlinkBox has lots of choice of recent films and TV series, at very affordable prices. I like the offers that given, as this encourages another visit to mooch and see what is now available. The site is easy to use, and I have no problem streaming onto my iPad, or even casting it to my old Samsung TV using Google Chrome.

good. dropped to SD a couple of times but mostly i was receiving full 1080p

Good system and attractive user environment. The movie seemed to stream well but did drop to SD occasionally. I have a 152Mb virgin connection so when the picture was at SD i did look at my internet connection and could see no problems hence i'm pretty sure it is a bandwidth issue with blink box.

However, the movie was great (Bad Education: The Movie) and with discount codes applied it only cost me £1.20 for HD rental so no complaints!

Just works great! But...

Blinkbox is easy to use and for me (with a fast internet connection), virtually never gives any streaming problems. I usually use an iPad or Mac for playback. But last night I used the Xbox One app, for the first time and it also worked perfectly.
However, when I wish to watch on the "Big TV" using the iPad or Mac to airplay via Apple TV, is when its real shortcomings show up! Namely, it fails to fill the TV's full screen! Making the displayed images into a very narrow letterbox, far to small to be worthwhile watching! A native Apple TV service to resolve this issue, would be the icing on the cake.

Disappointed with discount code not working ...

Usually I'm happy and buy all my online movies through blinkbox but today I'm angry hence the lower score -I was emailed a voucher code that had expired by the time I ever received the email, and then I got charged full price for a movie (which I already have on DVD so don't want) when I pressed the back key on my browser 😕. Perhaps they should reward loyal customers rather than those that receive the email first?

Ultimate DVD Collection

I am really happy with quality of service, the support and the amount of choice available on blinkbox

My family and I have never looked back since we started building our very own Ultimate DVD collection several years back

I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to start collecting DVDs and movies in the cloud!

awesome

Easy to use, good deals on new films and boxsets and handy to have link to your UV library. I've used the apps on playstation and xbox and both work well. When I've contacted customer service online I've had a response straight away which I was really pleased with.
The only reasons its not 5 star is that you can't play a full tv box set, you have to play each episode individually. And despite being owned by TalkTalk there is no blinkbox app available on TalkTalk youview. But other than that its great.

works well, but could be better

This works well on my Windows Lumia 640 XL. Couple if things would make this service great -
A) The option to convert a rental to a purchase, after it has been viewed, by paying whatever the difference is between the cost of the rental and the price to buy.
B) The time to watch a rental once started to be the same as the time allowed to start watching, so as to allow a 2nd viewing ( useful in films with more complex plots and sub plots).

Great quality

I never have problems other than what may be caused by my Samsung Smart TV, when emails reach me on my iPad they have offers and rewards but I can't see how to enter codes? Also is there a way that subtitles can be accessed as I am a bit hard of hearing.

Poor service

No simultanious viewing supported which is really poor as I legally own my purchased titles but my kids can't watch one of their titles in bedroom if we are already viewing a different title in the living room which really limits the service. Supported hardware is to limited e.g. no PS4 or streaming boxes such as roku or Kindle fire. All in all the service has went backwards since talk talk purchased it. Customer services is non existent and based abroad so all u get is a scripted response followed by closure of query/complaint with no actual help offered.

Good service

We've used Blinkbox a few times over the last couple of years. We've had cause to call for help once and we were very impressed with the support that we received. As for the downloads, a great choice of films. We like to download our films before watching them (because of our internet connection). This seems to work well. Last night we were able to watch one movie while downloading another, a really useful feature if, like we were, you're in the mood for wathing more than one movie in an evening. The downloads took a little longer than I'd hoped (about 30 minutes) but all worked really well.

I Love Blinkbox Films & TV Shows.

I've watched a lot films on Blinkbox recently Antman only wk or so ago & we really enjoyed the film.Also the films are out a few week's before its on DVD which is also great & best of all its in your own home on your owt tv sat on your nice comfy sofa. Which is bonus. Also I've watched few TV shows which I can't always watch as on different networks which I don't have so to watch them on Blinkbox is really good & you can watch them in a time that suits you. So I would deffinatlly recommend Blinkbox.

Best for movie streaming

I have been with blinkbox since it started as a Tesco company. I was sad when I heard Tesco were getting rid of it but glad that it was taken over and kept the same. I have accounts with most of the streaming company's but this is by far the best way in regards to reliability, use ability, it is available on so many platforms you literally can watch it on anything and anywhere. You even get a uv license on most films. It always has the latest films before release and all at the click of a button. You also get some could discount codes from time to time via email. Overall very please with the service and I hope that talk talk continue to keep it running as it is.

The best streaming service around

Blinkbox has the best selection of films and TV shows of any streaming service I have found. The website and the apps on my iPad and TV all work seamlessly and I have never experienced any buffering problems. The prices are competitive, and regular discount offers are very welcome.
