"Half a year ago, the anti-aircraft defense system "Stinger" donated by Latvia helped the Ukrainian army to delay the Russian invasion. Now, as Ukrainian soldiers counterattack in many places, our donated helicopters will help carry out military operations and save lives. Western countries' support for Ukraine must not end until it frees its entire territory from the Russian occupation forces," emphasizes Defense Minister Artis Pabriks.

It has already been reported that Latvia is one of the countries that has provided Ukraine with the most significant support in terms of volume in relation to the gross domestic product. Latvia has supplied Ukraine with weapons and individual equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, dry food rations, ammunition, anti-tank weapons and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles in the amount of more than 200 million euros.

Also, Latvia is one of the members of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group, which is committed to helping Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. The previous meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group was held on August 11 this year in Copenhagen, and was attended by defense ministers of many countries of the world, including A. Pabriks.
