It was previously revealed that although Anthem's Javelins all fall into one of four classes, each one will be unique thanks to upgrades players make to their skill trees. Those upgrades will be distinct for each Javelin a player owns. Freelancers, meanwhile, will have their own separate skill trees, and their associated upgrades will carry over across multiple Javelins.IGN broke down the Freelancer/Javelin system in our E3 2018 Anthem preview, explaining that gamers should think of the Javelins, not the Freelancers, as extensions of themselves. Each Javelin also has two weapon slots, two skill slots, and an ultimate ability, allowing for plenty of customization options.
